STRAIGHTFORWARD PROCESS

FOR ELIGIBLE RETURNS

At Equip Mining, we stand behind the quality and reliability of our aftermarket mining parts. Our warranty is designed to give customers confidence that every component is manufactured to high standards and supported by a clear, fair, and transparent process.

We warrant our parts against defects in materials and workmanship, while also respecting and upholding your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

With defined coverage periods, straightforward claim timeframes, and a commitment to timely assessment, our warranty reflects our focus on long-term partnerships, operational integrity, and doing business the right way.

This Returns Policy applies to all aftermarket mining parts and components purchased from Equip Mining Pty Ltd ("Equip Mining", "we", "us", "our"). This policy operates separately from and in addition to warranty rights under our Limited Warranty and statutory guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.

This policy does not affect your rights to a remedy for defective goods under warranty or consumer law. For warranty claims, please refer to our separate Limited Warranty document.

Customers can initiate a return request by completing the form found in the header of this page.

Upon receipt of your return request, Equip Mining will assess the request and notify you of the outcome as soon as practicable, typically within 5 business days.

You must not return goods without first obtaining a Return Authorisation Number (RAN) from Equip Mining. Returns without a valid RAN will be rejected.

1.1      Timeframe

Subject to this policy, credit may be given for goods returned within 30 days of delivery, provided that:

  • The goods are in "as new" resaleable condition
  • The goods remain in original, unopened packaging where applicable
  • A copy of Equip Mining's original invoice or packing slip accompanies the returned goods
  • A valid Return Authorisation Number has been issued

Goods will not be accepted for credit after 30 days of delivery except for valid warranty claims.

1.2      Condition Requirements

To be eligible for return, goods must:

  • Be unused and uninstalled
  • Be free from contamination, dirt, oil, or damage
  • Include all original packaging, labels, and documentation
  • Not show any signs of fitting, mounting, or attempted installation
  • Be in a condition that allows them to be resold as new

Equip Mining reserves the right to reject returns that do not meet these conditions.

The following goods are strictly non-returnable under this policy:

  • Batteries of any type
  • Ball and roller bearings, cups, cones, and races
  • Seals, gaskets, O-rings, and other elastomeric components
  • Opened kits or component sets (even if contents are unused)
  • Items made to order, including custom-manufactured hoses, fabricated structures, or modified components
  • Goods procured at the customer's request from an overseas source or special order
  • Goods supplied as used, refurbished, or "as-is" condition
  • Electronic Control Modules (ECMs), controllers, sensors, or other electronic equipment that has been fitted or connected to a machine, even if subsequently removed before operation
  • Hydraulic or lubrication fluids, chemicals, adhesives, or consumables
  • Goods with a value of less than $250.00 per line item
  • Goods that have been painted, coated, or modified in any way

These exclusions do not affect your rights to a remedy for defective goods under our warranty or the Australian Consumer Law.

1.1      Credit Value

The value credited for returned goods, if accepted, will be determined by Equip Mining in its discretion and will not exceed the original purchase price less the following deductions:

 1.    Standard Stock Items:

3.5% handling and restocking charge for goods held in stock by Equip Mining at the time of original order

2.    Non-Stock / Special Order Items:

10% handling and restocking charge for goods not held in regular stock and ordered specifically for the customer

3.    Additional Deductions:

Any procurement costs incurred by Equip Mining in connection with the original sale, including but not limited to freight, customs, handling, or supplier charges

Any additional costs reasonably incurred in processing the return

 1.2      Credit Method

Approved returns will be credited via:

  • Credit note applied to the customer's account, or
  • Refund to the original payment method (at Equip Mining's discretion)

Credit notes are valid for 12 months from date of issue and may be applied to future purchases.

Return freight costs are the responsibility of the customer. Goods must be returned freight-prepaid and include your Return Authorisation Number clearly on all shipping documentation and packaging.

Equip Mining may, at its sole discretion, provide a prepaid return label for certain returns. This will be confirmed when your RAN is issued.

  • All goods are returned at the customer's risk.
  • Equip Mining is not responsible for goods lost or damaged during return transit
  • It is the customer's responsibility to arrange adequate insurance cover for goods during return transportation
  • We recommend using a carrier that provides tracking and insurance
  • Goods must be packaged securely to prevent damage in transit
  • Risk passes back to Equip Mining only upon physical receipt and inspection at our facility

9.1      Incorrect Goods Supplied

If Equip Mining has supplied incorrect goods due to our error:

  • We will arrange collection at no charge to you
  • We will supply the correct goods with no restocking fee
  • Any additional freight costs will be borne by Equip Mining

You must notify us within 7 days of delivery if incorrect goods have been supplied.

 9.2      Defective Goods

Goods that are defective or fail to meet warranty standards should be processed under our Limited Warranty policy, not this Returns Policy.

  • Equip Mining's determination of whether goods meet return conditions is final.

Nothing in this Returns Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including your rights to:

  • A repair, replacement, or refund for goods with a major failure
  • Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage
  • A repair or replacement if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure

Where the Australian Consumer Law applies, you may have rights that go beyond this Returns Policy.

Equip Mining reserves the right to amend this Returns Policy at any time. The policy version in effect at the time of your purchase will apply to that purchase.
