BUILT TO PERFORM

Backed with Confidence

At Equip Mining, we stand behind the quality and reliability of our aftermarket mining parts. Our warranty is designed to give customers confidence that every component is manufactured to high standards and supported by a clear, fair, and transparent process.

We warrant our parts against defects in materials and workmanship, while also respecting and upholding your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

With defined coverage periods, straightforward claim timeframes, and a commitment to timely assessment, our warranty reflects our focus on long-term partnerships, operational integrity, and doing business the right way.

Equip Mining Pty Ltd ("Equip Mining", "we", "us", "our") warrants that its aftermarket mining parts and components are free from defects in materials and workmanship for the periods set out in this document. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and only to products used in accordance with their intended purpose.

This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not exclude or replace, rights provided under the Australian Consumer Law ("ACL"). Where the ACL applies, customers are entitled to certain statutory guarantees that cannot be excluded.

Equip Mining provides a limited warranty for specified mining components for the earlier of:

  • a defined number of operating hours, or
  • a defined calendar period after installation.

"Operating Hours"  (also referred to as "SMU hours") means hours the machine is powered and engaged in any function, including running, idling, retarding, or standby, as recorded on the equipment's service meter unit (SMU).

Warranty coverage applies only where installation, operation, lubrication and maintenance are carried out in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications.

Equip Mining warrants the following component categories against defects in materials and workmanship for 6,000 SMU hours or 12 months from installation, whichever occurs first:

  • Hydraulic Pumps & Motors
  • Gearing
  • Undercarriage Components
  • Work Equipment & Structures
  • Electrical & Electronic Control Parts

The warranty start date is the earlier of:

  • the actual date of installation, or
  • three (3) months from the date the product leaves an Equip Mining dispatch location.

Installation Registration: Failure to register installation details within one month of installation may limit Equip Mining's ability to verify warranty coverage. Late registrations will be considered on a case-by-case basis at Equip Mining's discretion.

We collect personal and business information that is reasonably necessary to provide our products and services, manage relationships, and improve customer experience. This may include:

To activate and maintain warranty coverage, customers must provide Equip Mining with:

  • Date of installation
  • Part numbers, descriptions, and quantities installed
  • Equipment make, model, serial number, and asset number
  • Component serial number (where applicable)
  • Service meter hours (SMU hours) at installation

Warranty claims must be submitted to Equip Mining in writing within one month of the issue occurring, including:

  • Proof of purchase
  • Installation and operating data
  • Clear description of the defect, failure mode, and operating circumstances
  • Current SMU hours and hours at installation
  • Photographic evidence (where applicable)

Claims or registrations submitted after the specified timeframes will be considered on a case-by-case basis at Equip Mining's sole discretion. Equip Mining reserves the right to decline late claims where delay has prejudiced investigation or verification.

Upon receipt of a valid warranty claim, Equip Mining will:

  • Acknowledge receipt within 5 business days
  • Complete initial assessment within 15 business days
  • Provide a decision on the claim within 30 business days of receiving all required information and completing any necessary inspection

Where component inspection or teardown is required, these timeframes may be extended by mutual agreement.

Equip Mining reserves the right to investigate all claims, including site inspection, component teardown, and verification of SMU hours.

4.5.1              Returns and Inspection Costs:

  • Parts accepted for warranty evaluation must be returned freight-prepaid to a location nominated by Equip Mining unless otherwise agreed in writing
  • If the claim is approved, Equip Mining will consider reimbursement for reasonable freight costs for return of the defective component on a case by case basis.
  • If the claim is declined, the customer bears all return freight costs
  • Where components cannot reasonably be returned due to size or complexity, they must be thoroughly cleaned and presented for inspection by an authorised Equip Mining representative at the customer's site
  • Equip Mining will bear travel costs for site inspection where a valid warranty claim is confirmed; otherwise travel and inspection costs will be charged to the customer
  • The customer is responsible for making the component accessible for inspection, including removal, cleaning, and safe presentation

This limited warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:

  • Improper installation, operation, or maintenance
  • Operation outside OEM specifications or derating requirements
  • Contamination, overheating, lubrication system failure, or use of incorrect lubricants
  • Alteration, modification, or repair by any party not authorised by Equip Mining
  • Use of non-approved or incompatible oils, seals, fasteners, or associated parts
  • Accidents, misuse, abuse, overload, collision, or environmental damage
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Defects in original OEM equipment into which the parts are installed

Failure to follow OEM lubrication or maintenance schedules voids the warranty.

Equip Mining's obligations under this warranty are limited to, at Equip Mining's discretion:

  • Repair of the defective part
  • Replacement of the defective part, or
  • Refund of the purchase price of the defective part

Remedies do not include:

  •  Labour costs for removal or installation
  • Travel, freight, equipment downtime, loss of production, or consequential damages
  • Costs associated with disassembly, diagnostics, fluids, or consumables
  •  To the extent permitted by law, Equip Mining's liability is capped at the purchase price of the affected part.

Nothing in this document excludes rights under the ACL. Where the ACL applies, customers may be entitled to compensation for reasonably foreseeable losses.

1.1         Delivery Timeframes

"Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure."

Customers must promptly notify Equip Mining of any suspected defect and provide reasonable access for inspection. No repairs or alterations to the claimed component may be undertaken without written approval from Equip Mining. Unauthorised repairs void warranty coverage.
