VERIFIED OEM QUALITY GEARING
Equip Mining does not ask customers to trust aftermarket parts because they are cheaper. We provide the technical evidence that allows customers to assess quality against OEM standards
EVIDENCE MATTERS MORE THAN ORIGIN
After decades working directly for OEMs, we understand the critical importance of gearing quality to mining operations. In wheel motor assemblies, final drives and mechanical transmissions, gear quality affects tooth contact, heat generation, vibration, fatigue life and machine availability. Equip Mining Parts & Components supplies aftermarket gearing through a verified manufacturer using controlled materials, modern gear manufacturing equipment, in-house heat treatment, dimensional inspection, loaded testing and warranty support.
Equip Mining Parts & Components supplies aftermarket gearing through a verified manufacturer using controlled materials, modern gear manufacturing equipment, in-house heat treatment, dimensional inspection, loaded testing and warranty support.
This is not simply a lower-cost alternative to OEM supply. It is a specification-driven supply pathway designed to give maintenance teams confidence in the quality, traceability and performance of every component.

GEAR QUALITY & MATERIALS
M Parts & Components verified manufacturing partner operates a large-scale industrial facility focused on mining truck motorised wheels and mechanical transmission gearboxes for mining excavators and shovels. The company was founded in 2001, providing to the domestic Chinese market since 2001 and exporting since 2019. Its focus is research, development, production, and service of drive system mechanical transmissions, including mining truck motorised wheels and excavator and shovel gearboxes.
40CrNi2MoA
RING GEARS
Ring gears are manufactured from 40CrNi2MoA chromium-nickel-molybdenum alloy steel, an ultra-high strength steel selected for toughness and fatigue resistance after heat treatment. It is comparable with AISI 4340 in the US, SNCM439 in Japan and 36CrNiMo4 in Germany.
20Cr2Ni4A
PLANETARY GEARS
Planetary gears and shafts are manufactured from 20Cr2Ni4A, a high-strength alloy structural steel selected for hardness, toughness and hardenability in heavy-duty mechanical applications.
AGMA Grade 6
WHEEL MOTOR MANUFACTURING STANDARDS
Gearing is manufactured to the equivalent of AGMA grade 6, described as “Automotive High Quality”. The OEM gearing uses AGMA Q class 10, described as “Automotive Normal”, or AGMA A-grade 7. This is an important distinction for maintenance teams because gear class influences contact precision, noise, heat, load distribution and long-term reliability.
MANUFACTURING & HEAT TREATMENT
Only state-of-the-art heavy gear manufacturing equipment is used, including CNC gear hobbing, CNC gear shaping, CNC gear milling and Gleason-Pfauter CNC profile gear grinding. Heat treatment is performed in-house using controlled equipment, including carburising, quenching and nitriding capability.
Mechanical wheel transmission gears are heat treated to achieve a tooth surface hardness of 58 to 62 HRC. This controlled hardness helps resist wear while maintaining the core toughness required for shock loading in mining haulage.
Tooth profile modification is also used to reduce meshing impact, vibration and eccentric loading caused by tooth deformation, manufacturing tolerance and assembly variation. This supports improved lubrication, more uniform load distribution and improved gear tooth bearing capacity.

INSPECTION & TESTING
A quality claim is only meaningful if it is supported by inspection and testing. The manufacturing facility uses a dedicated quality laboratory with gear measuring equipment, metallographic microscopes, direct reading spectrometers, ultrasonic flaw detectors, hydraulic universal testing machines and coordinate measuring machines.
For wheel motor assemblies, loaded testing is conducted using a wheel motor load test bench. This allows finished assemblies to be tested under simulated operating load, helping confirm performance and durability before supply.

METALOGRAPHIC MICROSCOPE
FIELD PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Technical testing documentation statistics show only minimal abrasion loss across the measured ring gear, planetary pinions, sun pinion and drive shaft after 20,000 hours of operation.
Wheel motor testing to date is in excess of 30,000 hours. Full test results are available on request.
