How Equip Mining Selects Suppliers

10 March 2026 by

One of the most common questions we receive about EM Components & Parts is straightforward:

How do you verify the manufacturers that produce your components?

For Equip Mining, supplier selection is not simply a procurement exercise. It is a technical process built around engineering verification, manufacturing assessment, and long-term operational experience.

Before any manufacturer becomes part of our supply network, their facilities and processes are carefully reviewed by our team.

Our mining fleet team includes professionals who have previously held senior engineering and product-support roles within major OEM organisations. This experience allows us to assess manufacturing operations using the same technical standards expected within global mining equipment supply chains.

Facility Inspection and Manufacturing Assessment

All manufacturers in our supply network operate advanced industrial facilities, primarily located in China and Vietnam, with some specialised components sourced from Germany and Canada.

Before onboarding a supplier, we personally inspect and assess key aspects of their manufacturing operations, including:

  • Metallurgical capabilities and material sourcing

  • Machining precision and tolerances

  • Heat-treatment processes

  • Process control and quality assurance systems

  • Traceability and documentation procedures

Many of the manufacturers we work with have been operating since the 1990s or early 2000s, and have invested heavily in modern manufacturing technologies over the past two decades.

These investments include advanced CNC machining systems, metallurgical testing equipment, and ISO-certified quality management systems designed to ensure consistent production standards.

Production and Quality Assurance

Most components supplied through EM Components & Parts are produced new to order, ensuring the latest production runs and consistent quality control.

Prior to shipment, we can provide customers with:

  • Product specification confirmation

  • Manufacturing documentation

  • Detailed product images where required

Every component is supplied with warranty coverage and supported by Equip Mining’s purchasing and returns policies.

Our goal is simple: to ensure customers can purchase aftermarket components with full confidence that they meet the required specifications and performance standards expected in modern mining operations.
